We share information with trusted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, analytics, authentication, payment processing, and advertising. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide us.

Chronova integrates with the following services, each of which has its own privacy practices:

  • Apple Sign In and Apple Push Notifications — authentication and notifications.
  • Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, analytics, and crash reporting.
  • Cloud storage provider — hosting of user-uploaded photos and videos.
  • Google AdMob — advertising and ad measurement.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of each service. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.

Section V

Tracking & Advertising

Chronova displays advertising through Google AdMob to support the free tier of our service. Chrono+ subscribers may receive a reduced or ad-free experience.

App Tracking Transparency

In accordance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, we request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites. You may grant or deny this permission at any time in your device settings. If you deny tracking, you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant to you.

Identifiers Used for Tracking

When you consent to tracking, we and our advertising partners may use the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) and similar identifiers to measure ad performance and deliver personalized advertising.

Section VI

Marketplace Transactions

When you buy or sell a watch through the Chronova marketplace:

  • Buyers and sellers exchange information necessary to complete the transaction, which may include name, shipping address, and contact details.
  • Payment information is processed by our payment partners; Chronova does not store full credit card numbers.
  • We retain records of transactions for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
  • Listings, ratings, and reviews may remain visible on the platform after a transaction is complete.
Section VII

Data Storage & Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, secure cloud infrastructure, access controls, and regular security reviews.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you share information with us at your own risk.

Your data is primarily stored on secure cloud infrastructure. Photos and videos are hosted with our cloud storage provider; account and activity data is hosted with Firebase.

Section VIII

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Chronova to you. After you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, with the following exceptions:

  • Transaction records retained for legal and tax purposes.
  • Content shared with other users, such as messages they've received, which may remain in their accounts.
  • Aggregated or anonymized data that no longer identifies you.
